Rod of the Last Office

Slim rod of washed bone bound at both ends with linen tape, the tape clean however long the rod has been carried.

Only wizards and clerics may command it. Each charge lays one undead creature or restless spirit to rest permanently: it cannot be raised, called, bound, or animated again by any means, whatever it was in life. The rod must lie on its remains or on the ground it haunts for a full minute. When depleted the rod still keeps any body it lies beside from rising.
