Ring of the Carried Word

Braided wire forms this narrow ring, crowned by a tiny hollow bead that rattles when the room is otherwise silent. Held close to the ear, the bead sometimes seems to contain distant whispers in languages the wearer does not know, all fading before a single word can be understood.

At the moment the wearer drops to 0 hit points they speak one sentence aloud, breath or no breath. Every creature within a mile hears it in their own first language, and none of them can mishear it, forget it, or be kept from hearing it. At any other time the bead carries the wearer's whisper to one named person within 100 feet, however loud the room.
