Ninth Wave Plaque

Grey slate, palm-sized, carved with eight small waves and one large one, the carved face always cool and faintly damp.

Nothing else may improve the wearer's AC while the plaque is carried; the water will not share the work. Every ninth attack against the wearer, counted continuously from the day it is first worn, is stopped dead and deals no damage. Each charge raises a standing wall of water 20 feet high and 30 feet wide for one minute, which blocks sight and missiles entirely and may be walked through only at half pace.
