Countermine Plate

Heavy plate with a low wide collar and a lamp bracket bolted at the shoulder, the whole of it scoured grey with wet chalk.

Its DR applies only while the wearer is underground or beneath a roof of stone or earth, and nothing else worn adds to their protection while the plate is buckled. In such places the wearer takes no damage from collapses, cave-ins, or falling stone and can breathe for an hour inside earth, rubble, or smoke. Setting a hand flat to any ceiling, wall, or floor and leaning into it for a full round brings down a 30-foot span.
