Spell Details
Effect
Roots, vines, or earthen tendrils surge from the ground, wrapping around a target's legs and
anchoring them in place. The creature must succeed on a DEX Quick save or become restrained. While restrained, the target cannot move and suffers a -2 penalty to attack rolls and
DEX Quick saves.
Scaling
At 3rd level, you may target up to two creatures within 30 feet of each other.
At 6th level, the roots deal 1d4 piercing damage initially to restrained creatures.
At 9th level, you may target up to three creatures, and the damage increases to 1d6 iniital
piercing damage.
Special Notes
The bindings may be broken with a Strength check (DC 13 + your caster level).
This spell must originate from soil, stone, or natural ground; it has no effect on targets flying or
standing on bare metal or glass.
